VICTORIA FALLS, DOMINICA : A native Carib indian woman stands by a pool at Victoria Falls. La Riviere Blanche (The White River) which begins in the Valley of Desolation and is also fed by the Boiling Lake, creates the magnificent Victoria Falls. They are reached by a 2 hour hike which consists of a series of criss-crossing the river up the river gorge sometimes scrambling over large rocks until we get to the base of the waterfall where there is a beautiful pool inviting you for a swim. The milky look of the water is a result of the many sulphurous minerals mixing in the water. Dominica, Eastern Caribbean.
