Classical Wedding musician Sinat plays his Kse Diev (instrument) at the Cambodian Living Arts studio in Phnom Pehn , Cambodia...The music Sinat plays, plaing kaa boran or classical wedding music, is steeped in his country's history, and together with the Angkor Temples is one of the few remaining vestiges of ancient Khmer culture. While this form of traditional music is one of Cambodia's oldest and most-loved, today only a handful of musicians from Siem Reap and Takeo provinces know how to play it. ..Cambodian Living Arts works to support the revival of traditional Khmer performing arts and to inspire contemporary artistic expression. CLA supports arts education, mentorship, networking opportunities, education, career development, and income generating projects for master performing artists who survived the Khmer Rouge as well as the next generation of student artists.
